Wendy Perry – Managing Director

An innovator in Vocational Education and Training (VET), the Contact Centre sector, Workforce Development and Workforce Planning and Small Business Management.  Her underpinning approach to business is to maximise her clients’ capabilities, capacity and productivity.

Wendy Perry is the Managing Director of Wendy Perry and Associates Pty Ltd incorporating WPAA, Workforce Blueprint, Blue Poppy Ventures, and Workforce Architects.

Based in South Australia, the company’s clients are all around Australia and Wendy has extensive networks in industry, with employers, business associations, government and Registered Training Organisations.  Wendy is the founding chair of the Small and Medium Around the Reservoir Traders (SMART) Business Association covering suburbs in Adelaide’s South.

Wendy’s background includes management roles within private and public Registered Training Organisations in the areas of Traineeships and Apprenticeships, business development, fee for service consultancy and Business Services. Wendy was the youngest Educational Manager in TAFE in South Australia at 25 years of age.  She established the first call/contact centre training facility in South Australia at the Institute, gaining sponsorship from numerous contact centre, technology and recruitment agency supporters. Whilst in this role, Wendy was approached by the Industry Skills Board for Information Technology to manage the Women into IT&T project for South Australian Business Vision 2010. Linked to her work within industry, the Department of Education and Children’s Services offered Wendy a position in a senior policy role with an IT&T industry focus in the secondary schooling sector.

In January 2003, at the age of 29, Wendy decided to establish Wendy Perry and Associates Pty Ltd and with her first client, Reframing the Future she undertook a project management role www.reframingthefuture.net working with organisations from around Australia from 2004-2008.

Wendy enjoys reading and writing about entrepreneurship (including young entrepreneurs), teenage employment, small business issues, marketing, work/life balance including mini breaks and her experiences from visiting wineries, restaurants, farmers markets and tourist locations, as well as attending events and festivals.

Wendy holds a Master of Education, Vocational Graduate Diploma of Management (Learning), Advanced Diploma of Management, Diploma of Quality Auditing, Diploma and Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, and Certificate IV in Small Business Management.  She is a regular conference presenter and an engaging facilitator.
